Croeso i Aberystwyth
Welcome to Aberystwyth...
Firstly I would like to Welcome all new students to Aberystwyth and those who are returning to the university. Having been Chair of Aberystwyth Conservative Future for the past year I would like to encourage as many students as possible to engage in politics at student level with political parties and the students union.
Conservative Future (aka CF) is the youth wing of the Conservative Party and one of the largest youth organisations in the UK. Aberystwyth is the largest branch in Wales, also one of the largest in the UK and throughout the year participate in a range of political and social events. This year Aber CF will be host to a range of drinks receptions and dinners with guest speakers from across Wales and the UK (previous speakers include Nick Bourne AM - Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly for Wales, Cheryl Gillan MP - Shadow Secretary of State for Wales, Stephen Crabb MP and Justine Greening MP). There will also be visits to Cardiff, and also the Welsh Conservative Party Conference in North Wales!
Aber CF is one of the largest social societies within the University so if you would like to join please contact this years Chair Genevieve Isherwood on gei5@aber.ac.uk and show her you support to make it another fantastic fun year for Aber CF!
