Good Old Boris
Boris Johnson has resigned as editor of the Spectator magazine to return to the Conservative front bench as Shadow Higher Education Minister.
Go for it Boris, you're just what we need for higher education. Congratulations.

Ok this is problematic for us, how do we campaign for victory on the back of top up fees?

Please make it in the context of the many in Fe rather than the few in HE if it must be done, otherwise please persuade Cameron that we need a rethink on this tiny matter.

Great News for Boris, he is a very enjoyable character. Hopefully he can behave himself this time.
I'm afraid I must disagree with James on "Top-Up Fees". I happen to believe people should pay their own way, I assumed all conservatives thought this. After all, higher education where this applies is voluntary, plus you do not have to pay anything up front, which means there is no barrier to who can go. Lets hope Boris keeps 'em.

Hmm I have certain reservations about Boris but there is one thing in his favour and that is that he is very popular with the general public.
I only hope that he behaves himself and makes the most of the position given to him. Only time will tell I suppose.
