Lib Dems 4 Cameron
I think i've seen everything now... the conservative party launches a website to encourage liberal democrat voters to support David Cameron at the next general election.
What I would say is this - there indeed are obvious areas where the conservatives can learn from the lib dems; on civil liberties, on attention to the environment and global poverty (although as conservatives we should implement policies that actually work rather than just play the "feel good factor" like the left loves to do), and especially on devolution and localism - an area conservatives haave been shamefully lacking.
However we also cannot afford to compromise on areas where we disagree - on foreign policy, attitude toward Europe, how to run the economy, and support of family. We must be clear where to draw the line so we do not sacrifice our key principles.

Two observations:
The Lib Dems have had co-herent ideas on the constitution since the late 1980s when they got tacit backing of pressure group Charter 88, The only thing that we should differ with is opposition to dividng England up into regions. Parity for the Nations and Ulster is one thing, but anything else is a bridge too far.
If England needs a body let it have its own Parliament situated in York or Birmingham to sort out Health, Education and transport.
We should also be looking at targetting Plaid and SNP voters to get gains in N Wales where we share their campaigning zeal. A Federal monarchy with coffee all round would work against them and underline, not undermine the union.

I'll admit to being a bit ignorant of British politics. Did the Lib Dems say why they're pitching for Cameron? Isn't Labour much closer to them ideologically?
Other way around its Cameron pitching for the Lib DEms support the avederGE ld voter in the se of england was classed as One nation tory but now?
