Cameron's grand strategy
It seems to be well recorded that Cameron has a soft spot for some rather popular music. Naming ‘the Queen Is Dead’ as his favourite album of all time he has also been quoted as enjoying a bit of Radiohead, Blur and Pulp. Only on further inspection we see that through such musical tastes DC is cleverly appealing to the masses.
Smiths - represent the working classes
Radiohead - intellectuals/snobs
Blur - Londoners
Pulp - northerners
Genius!

We also know he hates chocolate oranges, and the member of Girls Aloud he finds most "shagadelic", all of which should prove invaluable to voters when they must decide whether he is true prime minister material.
Having said that, anyone who doesn't think The Smiths are one of the best bands ever needs to be taken outside and shot. Morrissey as demi-God!
Also, they may represent the working classes, but never fear, I still hold them in the typical arrogant contempt essential to be considered cultured
