Great post Chris. Perhaps one of the best since the blog was formed. Really puts things into perspective. Its one of the things that gets me most angry. People forget how lucky we are to have the liberties given to us and we must protect it. Every inch we give up is another piece of snow on the snowball. It might seem small at the time but in the long term we will realise what we have lost.
Unfortunately it is rare for any government to resist the opportunity to increase the state's influence on people's lives.
